This is a 1/72 Plastic A-10A Thunderbolt II "Warthog" Model Kit from Academy
Plastics. It's for ages 10 and up.
With the nickname "Warthog," it's quite clear that the Fairchild A-10 is
not a pretty aircraft. However, beauty was not a part of the concept behind
this formidable airplane. One of the most deadly weapons to ever cruise the
sky is found in the nose of the Warthog. It is a 30mm cannon capable of
firing up to 70 rounds a second with a muzzle velocity of one 3/4 mile per
second. The Warthog is designed to be able to return to base even when heavily
damaged.
FEATURES: Plastic pieces attached to sprues and molded in gray.
The surface of the plane is decorated with fully engraved panel
lines and rivet detail.
Highly detailed cockpit interior includes a seat, controls and
gauges.
Authentic jet engine assemblies bring the model extra realism.
Intricate landing gear system will impress even seasoned modelers.
The Warthog is no slouch when it comes to weaponry. You'll find that
the model is complete with multiple bomb racks, an ample supply of
missles, and of course the nose-mounted 30mm machine gun.
Clear plastic canopy allows close inspection of cockpit.
Detailed pictorial instructions guide you through assembly.
