This is a plastic 1/72 B-50D Superfortress USAF Airplane from Academy Plastics.
The B-50D was essentially a souped-up version of the B-29; more powerful
engines and a stronger airframe resulted in an aircraft which could fly
farther, faster and with more payload than its famous predecessor.
FEATURES: Detailed 1/72nd scale for static display only.
Markings included for one aircraft: "El Paso".
Appx. 170 parts in light grey and clear with delicate recessed panel
lines.
Correct cuffed propellers with detailed engines and correct cowlings.
Cockpit detail: floor, instrument panels, pilots seats and controls,
full rear cockpit with navigator and radio operators positions.
Superbly detailed landing gear and wheel assemblies.
Detailed rear gunners position includes seats, bulkheads and rest
beds.
Service History: USAF; late 1940's through the mid 1950's.
Description: 4-engine daylight heavy bomber.
MARKING
OPTIONS: Single sheet of decals which contains national insignia, instrument
panel, aircraft ID number and code letters, and nose art.
A/C #9026, B-50D "City of El Paso", no unit information given.
Aircraft was overall natural aluminum with red fin tip and
stripe.
