HMS Belfast was one of the most active ships in the Royal Navy during WWII.
She participated in a number of significant battles including the chase and
ultimate sinking of the German Battleship Scharnhorst. The Belfast's main
armament consisted of 12x6 inch guns and she had a top speed of 31.5 knots.
The ship is currently preserved and can be seen on the Thames River across from
the Tower of London.
