                 This is a 1/48 Scale Polikarpov I-16 Type 18
                  Plastic Model Kit from Academy Hobby Models.

     When the tiny I-16 flew for the first time in 1933, it was far ahead of
any other fighter design in the world, featuring retractable landing gear, a
cantilever wing and variable pitch propeller. The Soviet 20mm cannon was the
most powerful aircraft weapon in frontline service with any nation on the eve
of WWII; it had a very high rate of fire and was extremely reliable.

FEATURES: Medium grey plastic pieces molded to sprue trees.
          Clear pieces for windscreen included.
          Single seat cockpit.
          Recessed panel lines give authentic look.
          Detailed cockpit and landing gear.
          Realistic propeller.
          Full armament package.
          Detailed pictorial instructions.

OPTIONS:  One decal sheet with markings for two aircraft:
            1: 72AP VVS SF, flown by S.G. Surzhenko, Murmansk 1941.
            2: 72AP VVS SF, flown by Boris F. Safonov, Murmansk 1941.
          Aircraft Colors:
            -Flat Black, Silver, Metallic Gray, Gunmetal, Red, Red Brown, Dark
             Green, Clear Red, Clear Blue, Light Gray, Light Blue.
