     This is a 1/48 Scale P-47D "Nose Art" Plastic Model Kit by Academy.

     The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was the largest and heaviest single-engine
  fighter to see service in WWII. In the early stages of the USAAF's campaign
  against "Fortress Europe," the P-47 was the only fighter able to provide the
    bombers with an escort until the ultimate escort, the P-51 B & D Mustangs
 entered service. However, far from making them obsolete, this freed the P-47s
              to attack ground targets, a role at which they excelled.

FEATURES: Medium grey plastic pieces molded to sprue trees.
          Clear pieces for canopy included.
          Single seat cockpit.
          Recessed panel lines give authentic look.
          Detailed cockpit and landing gear.
          Realistic Double Wasp engine and exhaust turbine.
          Full armament package.
          Detailed pictorial instructions.

               Group.
            2: USAAF Lt. Duane E. Buholz, 509th Fighter Squadron, 405th Fighter
               Group.
          Aircraft Colors:
            -Flat Black, Interior Green, Light Brown, Gunmetal, Clear Orange,
             Clear Green, Clear Red, Clear Blue, Silver, Olive Drab, Blue,
             Yellow, Red.
