Straight axles = greater speed! In Pinewood racing, finishers are often
separated by fractions of an inch. Although many factors affect car performance
precision axles are key to reaching the winner's circle. The nails used are not
precision axles. Although they may look straight, many nail-axles have a slight
bend, are slightly out of round, and the nail head may not be square to the
axle shaft. To convert a nail to a precision axle, these natural deficiencies
must be addressed.
FEATURES: Pine-Pro introduces the Pro-Axle Press, a precision machined device
that will improve the speed of your Derby Car by performing three
critical procedures on nail type axles:
-Axle straightening: ensures accurate wheel tracking by creating
absolutely straight axles. Improved wheel tracking equals greater
speed.
-Axle rounding: ensures accurate wheel rotation by creating
absolutely round axle shafts. Improved wheel rotation equals
greater speed.
-Head squaring: reduces friction by accurately squaring the axle
head to the axle shaft. Reduced friction equals greater speed.
