         This is a 1/48 J2M3 Type 21 Raiden "Jack" Airplane from Tamiya.

FEATURES: Detailed 1/48th scale plastic kit for static display.
          Service History: IJN; 1944-45; intercepted high flying B-29's over
            Japan.
          Single engine, single seat, Japanese Navy interceptor.
          Tightly cowled Mitsubishi Kasei 23 14 cylinder radial - 1575hp; (4)
            20mm wing cannon; 4 blade propeller, large "greenhouse" canopy.
          Markings included for 3 different aircraft.
          Appx. 35 parts in light grey and clear; raised and recessed panel
            lines.
          Detailed prop and cowling with engine cooling fan.
          Standing and seated pilot figures.
          Cockpit detail: seat, cockpit tub, rear bulkhead, side consoles, and
            decal for instrument faces.
          Fuselage drop tank included.

MARKING
OPTIONS:  Single sheet of decals contains aircraft code letters, serial numbers
            national insignia, stencils, and cockpit instruments for three
            aircraft:
          1: Genzan Flying Group, Kagoshima Air Base, Nov. 1943.
          2: Lt (JG) Sadaaki Akamatsu, 302 Flying Group, Atsugi, March-Aug
             1945.
          3: Lt (JG) Yoshihiro Aoki, 352 Flying Group, Kanoya, April 1945.
          All Aircraft: Top Surfaces - IJN Dark Green with black anti-glare
            panel in front of canopy; Bottom Surfaces - IJN Light Grey.
          Note: 8x10 sheet with color side views of 2 and 3 included.
