      This is a Plastic 1/48 WWII Grumman F4 Wildcat Airplane from Tamiya.

A product of the Grumman "Iron Works" the F4F Wildcat was the US Navy's sole
defense against the Japanese Zero when war broke out in December 1941. Not as
fast or maneuverable as the Zero, the rugged Wildcat nevertheless held its own
through the use of superior tactics. This Tamiya kit builds into a detailed
1/48th scale replica of the F4F-4: the first version fitted with folding wings
High quality water activated decals are included for four aircraft.

FEATURES: Highly detailed 1/48th scale plastic kit for static display
          Approx 60 parts in medium grey and clear with fine recessed panel
            lines.
          Highly detailed engine, wheel well and landing gear.
          Multi-part canopy may be posed open or closed.
          Main wheels have separate hubs for easy painting.
          Highly detailed cockpit with accurate instrument panel, seat, control
            stick and rudder pedals, and bulkheads.
          2 drop tanks included and prop rotates thanks to a polythene bushing
            in the engine which also lets the prop be added late in assembly.
            (This makes painting easier and makes prop damage less likely).

MARKING
OPTIONS:  Includes 1 sheet of water activated decals which contains national
          markings, aircraft identification letters, and red & white rudder
          striping.  Four aircraft:
            1: VF-41 (USN), USS Ranger, "41-F-8".
            2: VMF-223 (USMC), "28".
            3: VGF-29 (USN), USS Santee, "29-GF-4".
          Color scheme for above versions:
            -Top Surfaces: Blue Grey; Bottom surfaces: Light Grey.
            4: VF-22 (USN), USS Independence, "22-F-1".
            -Top surfaces: Sea Blue; Fuselage sides: Intermediate blue.
            -Bottom surfaces: White.
          Additional Paints Required: Colors are all flat except where
            indicated:
          Detail colors: Interior Green, Black, Silver, Yellow, Red, Blue,
            Khaki, Tan, Buff, Gloss Red, Semi-gloss Black, Green, Brown, and
            Gloss Blue.
