This is a Plastic 1/48 Heinkel He219A-7 Uhu (Owl) Airplane from Tamiya.
The He219 was an independent venture of the Heinkel Company and it
incorporated several advanced features: cockpit pressurization, ejection seats,
and tricycle landing gear. It proved very effective in service as a
nightfighter but was politically controversial and few were built.
FEATURES: Detailed 1/48th scale for static display only.
WWII Luftwaffe radar equipped twin engine nightfighter.
Markings included for three WWII Luftwaffe aircraft.
About 140 parts in light grey and clear with fine recessed panel
lines.
Detailed engine nacelles with exhaust flame dampers and landing gear
wells.
Cockpit detail: control stick, instrument panel, radar set, and
seats.
The kit has a metal cockpit tub which also acts as a nose weight to
keep the model sitting correctly on its landing gear.
Other detail: Schrage Musik installation, antennae array and boarding
ladder.
