     This is a 1/72 SBD Dauntless Divebomber Plastic Model Kit from Testors.
       This model is recommended for experienced modelers, ages 10 and up.

     The SBD Dauntless was used throughout the war as the U.S. Navy's primary
carrier-based divebomber.  Navy pilots had deep respect for the machine because
it was rugged and versatile; a Coral Sea Dauntless returned after that great
battle with more than 200 holes in the airframe!  In the haste to disarm after
the war, virtually all SBD's were dismantled and few of these remarkable planes
exist today.

FEATURES: Crispy-detailed injection molded plastic parts.
          Indented detailing for added realism, a clear canopy, 2 crew figures,
            and authentic landing gear.
          Dual aft machine guns, a centerline bomb, and wing-mounted bombs.
          Detailed radial engine and rotating propeller.
          Complete instruction manual and decals for two versions.

OPTIONS:  One decal sheet with markings for two aircraft:
            1: S-5, 5, plus several star insignias and stripes.
            2: 2-S-12, 12, plus several star insignias, striped decals for the
               tail, and four small circle insignias.
