This is a 1/48 Travel Air Mystery Ship Plastic Model Kit from Testors.
This model is recommended for experienced modelers ages 10 and over.
The Travel Air Mystery Ship was the first monoplane to successfully
compete in air races, meaning the end of the biplane's dominance of the skies.
Powered by a Wright Whirlwind engine, the Travel Air won the first Thompson
Trophy, the most famous of all racing prizes, and earned its place in aviation
history.
FEATURES: Includes a pilot for the cockpit.
Authentic waterslide decals.
First plane to bring low-wing monoplane (one wing) engineering to air
racing.
Originally flown with a Wright J-6 Whirlwind radial engine of 300 hp.
Flying wires on plane which may be rigged in three different ways.
