Prototype Information: Northrop B-2 "Spirit" Bomber
Description: The B-2 Spirit is the latest aircraft to enter service with the
USAF and replaces the B-52 and B-1B in the strategic bomber role. The B-2 is
unique in several respects: it is a flying wing with no or tail
surfaces, and it has a very low radar cross-section making it very difficult
to detect. The B-2 has a wingspan of 172ft and can fly at altitudes of over
50,000ft on its four GE F-118-GE 100 powerplants.
