This is a 1/72 Scale B-17 F Flying Fortress Plastic Model Kit from Revell.
Skill Level 3, For Intermediate Modelers.
The heavy American bomber B-17 is without doubt one of the symbols of
WWII. Used from 1941 by the 8th air fleet and the RAF, this heavy four-engined
bomber seemed an easy target for the German fighter planes. However, the tre-
mendous firing power of up to 11 machine guns in flexible positions or turrets
turned the B-17 into flying fortresses. The much improved B-17F was produced
from 1942 and served successfully until the end of the war.
