This is a 1/48 Plastic F-111F Libya Raider Model Kit from Academy Plastics.
It's for ages 10 and up.
Designed to be a multi-service tactical strike fighter, the F-111
developed into one of the most controversial aircraft ever constructed. Its
problems started with the McNamara decree that the plane be designed for use
by both the Air Force and the Navy. The Navy version of the F-111 was
scrapped after seven years of expensive development because of weight
constraints. Once the F-111 was dedicated to the Air Force alone, it was
quickly learned that the craft had met or exceeded all requirements.
FEATURES: Plastic pieces attached to sprues and molded in grey.
The surface of the plane is decorated with fully engraved panel
lines and rivet detail.
Highly detailed cockpit interior includes seats, controls, and
gauges.
Detailed exhaust cones bring realism to the craft.
Sports optional position landing gear.
Swing-wing system is fully functional in this model.
The F-111F carries fuel tanks, ECM pods, and loaded weapons trays on
the underside of the .
Clear plastic canopy allows close inspection of cockpit.
Detailed pictorial instructions guide you through assembly.
