         This is a 1/72 T-6G Texan Plastic Aircraft Kit from Academy.

     The North American AT-6 Texan is the most widely used trainer aircraft
ever made.  In addition to the U.S. Air Force and Navy, the Texan has been used
by dozens of countries to provide future pilots with their first flying
experiences.  Today many of these aircraft are in private hands and can be seen
at air shows around the world.  Less well known, is that the Texan was used by
the French in Algeria as an counter-insurgency aircraft armed with guns and
rocket pods.  The T-6G was powered by a Pratt & Whitney R-1340-AN-1 Wasp radial
engine and could be identified by its retractable tailwheel and square tipped
propeller blades.
