This is a Plastic 1:72 Lockheed P-38F/H Lightning Model Kit from Airfix.
It's rated skill level 2 and is recommended for ages 8 and up.
Major Thomas Buchanan McGuire shot down 38 Japanese aircraft in the
Pacific Theatre in the P-38 Lightning. The second of his regular Lightnings,
named "PUDGY", is the subject of this kit. McGuire recorded 17 of his victory
markings while flying this aircraft. The P-38 Lightning had a maximum speed of
400mph at 25,000 feet.
FEATURES: 67 plastic pieces attached to sprues and molded in grey.
Includes a small, yet detailed, pilot figurine.
Surface of plane is detailed with bolt heads, hatch grooves, and
flap divisions.
Nosecone mounted guns are recreated with grear detail.
Cockpit gauges are accurately reproduced.
Landing gear and clear plastic canopy are nicely detailed.
