   This is a 1/32 McDonnell Douglas F-4J Phantom II Plastic Marines Aircraft
                              Model Kit by Tamiya.
                         For modelers age 10 and over.

     The 101st Fighter Squadron of the Navy became the first to be outfitted
with the F-4J in 1966, and the Marines in 1967.  It broke record after record,
including top-speed, altitude, and time-to-climb.  On September 11, 1972, The
F-4J shot down a MiG-21 near Hanoi, in the Vietnam War.  That was the only time
a MiG was downed by a U.S. Marine aircraft.  The F-4J remained with the Marines
until 1991.  Battling in five major conflicts, spanning over three decades, the
Phantom II earned a special place in warplane history.

          One 600 gallon drop tank mounted on the belly of the fuselage.
          Finely detailed ejection seat.
          Oval shaped air intakes on each side of the fuselage.
          This plane has an in-flight refueling probe mounted to the right side
            of the cockpit.
