This is a 1/32 scale Plastic Model Kit of the
P-51B Mustang II from Trumpeter
For: ages 14+ & experienced modelers
FEATURES: Though known as an American fighter, the Mustang was designed for the
British in 1940. It was also the British who gave the plane the
Mustang name. The prototype was completed within a 120-day time
limit. The P51-B went into service in December, 1943, serving as
fighter of choice in England and Italy until March, 1944, when the
P-51D (with the bubble canopy) began to appear. Even so, the P-51B
remained in service until the end of WWII and accounted for nearly
a third of all combat hours.
Modeler has the option to build the kit with a grey, opaque
or a clear to reveal extensive interior detail
Includes molded grey and clear plastic parts, as well as rubber
tires, photo-etched metal parts & a film insert for the instrument
panel
