     This is a 1/48 Plastic Polikarpov I-16 Type 10 from Academy Plastics.
                           It's for ages 10 and up.

     When the I-16 was introduced in 1933, it was far ahead of all other
fighter designs in the world.  500 of these planes went into service with the
Republicans when the Spanish Civil War broke out.  The I-16 delivered
suprising agility and performance.  One of the most startling uses of the tiny
but rugged fighter came in the form of ramming attacks.  Pilots were taught to
smash into the tail surface of German bombers and then bail out!

FEATURES: Plastic pieces attached to sprues and molded in grey.
          The surface of the plane is decorated with fully engraved panel
            lines and rivet detail.
          Highly detailed cockpit interior, landing gear, and landing gear bay.
          Authentic engine assembly with propeller.
          The craft is armed with wing-mounted machine guns and several small
            bombs.
          Clear plastic canopy allows close inspection of cockpit.
          Detailed pictorial instructions guide you through assembly.
