   This 1/72 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I is a Plastic Model Airplane from the
                         War Bird Collection by Tamiya.
                   Great for those modelers age 10 and older.

     The Supermarine Spitfire is regarded by many as the most esthetically
designed single seat fighter to appear during World War II.  It was conceived
the British designer, Reginald J. Mitchell, and first flew on March 5, 1936.
The very distinctive elliptical shaped wing was useful in reducing parasitic
drag and allowed a fairly thin wing construction.

FEATURES: All plastic, ready to assemble precision model kit.
          Single seat detailed cockpit.
          Low, elliptical shaped wings.
          Long flowing front cowling.
          One 3-blade propeller engine.
          Canopy option: blown or straight.
