    This U.S. Navy aircraft was one of the most famous and reliable airplanes
of WWII.  The Hellcat, first introduced in 1943, was a highly manoeuvrable air-
 craft despite its extensive dimensions.  The robust fuselage of this carrier-
               borne plane was able to absorb substantial damage.
