This is a plastic 1:72 Catalina PBY-5A Airplane from Airfix.
It's a skill level 3 model for ages 8 and over.
The prototype of the Catalina first flew in March 1935, and after
completing its trials and a non-stop flight distance record of 5508km, went
into mass production shortly afterwards. It had an impressive war record on
all fronts from the Pacific to Russia and destroyed no fewer than 196 U-boats,
as well as rescuing hundreds of allied aircrew.
