This is a 1/72 Plastic War Bird Collection DeHavilland Mosquito FB Mk.VI/NF|
Mk.II from Tamiya. It's for ages 10 and up.
The DeHavilland Mosquito was designed in 1939 as part of an attempt to
build a bomber that could outrun modern-day fighters. Wood was used in the
construction of the Mosquito in an effort to save precious aluminum. After
successful tests that clocked the Mosquito at 630kmh the orders for the speedy
craft began to pour in. During the production of the different versions of
the craft, machine guns were added to the nose and bomb capacity was refined.
The Mosquito was an effective and much used craft during WWII.
Plastic pieces attached to sprues and molded in grey.
Ready to assemble precision model kit.
The fuselage of the Mosquito is engraved with realistic surface
details like plate seams and bolt heads.
Realistic gauges and flight control equipment fill the cockpit.
An accurately reproduced landing gear system will suprise modelers
with its high level of detail.
Underwing accessories include bombs and rockets, the plane is also
armed with four nose-mounted machine guns.
Propeller assemblies are convincingly realistic.
