This is a 1/72 Plastic Me-163B/S Komet Model Kit from Academy Plastics.
It's for ages 10 and up.
Designed from the research of Dr Alexander Lippisch, the Messerschmitt
163 Komet was designed as a way to stop the flood of allied bombers that were
pouring into Germany toward the end of WWII. The Komet would reach an
incredible speed of 596mph and climb at an outstanding 11,800 feet per minute.
The craft was used to fly above Allied bomber groups and rain fire down on
them from above and then, having used all of their fuel, they would glide
back to base.
FEATURES: Plastic pieces attached to sprues and molded in grey.
The surface of the plane is decorated with fully engraved panel
lines and rivet detail.
Highly detailed cockpit interior includes a seat and multiple
controls.
Includes a detailed towing tractor for ground display purposes.
Detailed takeoff and landing skid is authentically modeled after the
real one.
Modelers have the option of building either the Me-163B or the
Me-163S.
Clear plastic canopy allows close inspection of cockpit.
Detailed pictorial instructions guide you through assembly.
